What you should know about OConnor Planning Consultants Limited
OPC maintain excellent working relationships with specialist resource management contractors such as surveyors, engineers and ecologists as well as local government staff. We typically act as the lead consultant on projects and are responsible for consent authority liaison and negotiation, briefing sub consultants and legal counsel as required. We also take responsibility for the preparation of the environmental assessment reporting needed to secure the requisite resource s consent for projects. OPC is committed to providing consistent, quality planning advice and expertise to all of our clients and to achieving high quality, creative and innovative environmental outcomes.
We provide mentoring, on the job training and regular attendance at conferences and seminars to ensure that our people are fully conversant with the latest planning trends and the changing regulatory environment. On behalf of the team I just want to thank you for the energy, skill and persistence that have helped us get to this significant milestone. Having worked my way through a few consents when Burnette was on the other side of the fence!. Diana is a full member of the New Zealand Planning Institute and has a Bachelor of Planning from the University of Auckland.
Diana has over 11 years of planning work experience which has included work for local government and in private practice. She has a high level of versatility as a planner, having extensive experience in processing and preparing a wide variety of consent applications for subdivision, landuse and coastal matters as well as private plan change applications and submissions to the proposed Auckland Unitary Plan. Diana has a sound working knowledge and understanding of the statutory process, is a lateral thinker with sound judgement and an ability to managed work effectively to meet deadlines with competing demands. Burnette is a full member of the New Zealand Planning Institute and has a Bachelor of Resource and Environmental Planning with Honours from Massey University.
Burnette has over 15 years of planning work experience in a range of roles including work for local authorities and private practice. The range of work that Burnette has been involved in includes small and large scale development projects involving land use, subdivision and coastal consents, policy advice to local authorities and the presentation of evidence to both Council and the Environment Court for private and local authority clients. Burnette is also an accredited hearings commissioner and has sat on resource management hearings for Kaipara District Council and mentors planning students and a First Foundation scholar. Outside of work Burnette enjoys tramping, travelling and is currently learning to surf her latest travels include exploring Vietnam and Cambodia
